African leopards are the last of the big five roaming free outside game reserves and
national parks. It is here (the largest land mass of Africa), where leopards are under threat.
The Ingwe Leopard project aims to conserve and protect this precious resource. After all
leopards are at the top of the food chain and as such a key indicator of a healthy
eco-system, which in turn affects us all.
To do this we are gathering data on leopard density, behaviour and population dynamics
outside of formally protected areas, enabling reasoned policy decisions to be made.
Remarkably this data does not currently exist. We need to fill this gap in understanding
before its too late.
Our members zone gives you access to be able to enjoy real life satellite tracking
of Leopards in Africa from your home, as well as the latest information from the
front line of wildlife conservation, video clips of our work, weekly blog, photo
album, social network and much more.
